Rain, rain, rain.

We finally got some.

Thanks to that killer tornado.

Thankfully it didn’t touch down here.

Rain is part of Nature’s reign.

Reign, reign, reign.

As in Reigning Cats & Dogs.

Grooming, boarding, training, and retail shop on the west side of the square.

And on the east edge of town is Sunny Star Kennels.

Boarding, grooming, and training too.

Board, board.

Groom, groom.

Verb, noun.

No wonder English is a challenge to learn.

Words sound the same but look different.

Or words look the same but sound different.

Such as cough, tough, slough.

Rough, trough, through.

Try saying that three times real fast.

What fun.

Root, route.

Vain, vein.

Plain, plane.

Pane, pain.

The rain in Spain falls mainly on the plain.

What a great language.

If you don’t let it grate on you.

Grow, brow.

Low, cow.

Row, sow.

Flow, plow.

Go figure.

It’s quirky and quixotic.

Fair, fare.

Fore, four.

Good, mood.

Hood, food.

It’s a language free-for-all.

Makes no sense whatsoever.

Wrought, rot.

Beat, beet.

Bare, bear.

Meet, meat.

Hare, hair.

Feet, feat.

And mastering English is just that.

A real feat.

At night, the knight will write something right.

Put on a bow and take a bow.

All’s well that ends well.

Unless it’s a dry well.

That’s Mason.
