Mason Garden Club May Meeting

The Mason Garden Club met May 21st at the Stribling Room of the Mason Library. The program was on “Landscape Plans for Heritage Park” presented by Dr. Michael Murphy.

Dr. Murphy taught landscape architecture and horticulture at Texas A&M. He explained his landscape plan for Heritage Park that he has developed for the Riata Club who will be taking it as their project. C.J. Reardon of the Riata Club gave a short presentation on their plans. Along with the Heritage Project, they have plans for walking trails to historic areas of Mason. Many questions were asked by the members about these projects and a discussion followed.

The next meeting of the Mason Garden Club will be June 18th at the Stribling Room of the Library with a work day at the Library on Tuesday, June 4th to complete the plantings of the flower beds.
