Friday July 12th there will be a 4-D barrel race with added money(call: 325-347-2486) and other rodeo events (for more Rodeo event info contact: Pam at 325-218-2010 ). Mason is very proud to welcome Aaron Watson and Cooper Wade to the entertainment line up this year, the TX Country Stars will perform at the Old Peanut Mill Steakhouse on HWY 87 in Mason. Bring a lounge Chair or a blanket and enjoy your favorite songs under the stars. There will be BBQ, drinks and dancing! This will be our best concert ever!! Activities Saturday July 13th on the square in Mason will include the fabulous Arts and Crafts Festival, street parade (start time is 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, line up is at 7:30 near the historic jail). Jackass race directly following the parade, Mason County Rodeo Queen pageant and presentation, live entertainment on the lawn, and the Lester Meyer Rodeo and dance on Saturday evening at the fairgrounds at Ft. Mason City Park.

The Entertainment this year will be country music performer Aaron Kothnmann. The dance entry fee will be $15.00.

We are looking for Jackass Race participants, the prize money is AWESOME!! $750.00 for 1st place, $200.00 for second place and 100.00 for third!! This is easy money and very entertaining for the citizens of Mason and the folks that come from miles around just to watch the race. We want to continue having the event that has become a tradition in Mason. The entry fee is just $25.00. Please talk to your BRAVE friends and family about the event and let’s make this year unforgettable! There are no cruel acts to animals in the event and we have a team of folks that make sure that the animals are healthy, safe and legal. (no hybrids please). Round-up this year is already EXCITING and we are expecting even bigger crowds than we had last year! Remember, if you have friends and family coming in to town for the weekend, have them book their lodging SOON! We have two motels and over 40 beautiful B and Bs and guest houses in Mason County!
