Yesterday, to help a friend settle an estate, I spend several hours in Mason trying find someone who had moved from there 5 years ago. Although the task was not easy the time spent there was wonderful. I thank everyone I came in contact with for their gracious hospitality and generous help.
From the gals at the county clerk’s office to the gals in the Chamber and the employees and customers at Willow Creek Cafe and employees and customers at almost every shop around the square, everyone bent over backwards to help me.
A special thanks to Lee Ann Peavy, Gerry Gamel, Mary Jo Cockrell, Nancy Bauer and Wendy Hudson. The true concern from each of these folks is greatly appreciated.
The good news is that the person was found, the relatives can get on with settling the estate and I will forever have a warm fuzzy feeling for Mason, Texas!
