Wednesday, June 12, 2013 • Posted June 12, 2013

Mason Community Church invites everyone in the Mason area to a free concert this Sunday at 10:00 a.m. at the church building, located at 516 N. Robin Street.

LifeSong: Is devoted to healing and encouraging families with God’s word in Music and evangelism. Their ministry to the family is based from the scriptures found in Paul’s letter to the Colossians. Focusing mainly on , but not limited to, Colossians 3:18-23 and in I Peter Chapter 3. It is in these scriptures that they find God truly has a message to families about each role the family member plays and how important it is that we learn to have faith, love, and forgive one another. How God can truly make the family stronger if we make Him the center of our faith, love, and forgiveness, in our families.

The message they have to the church family can be found in the scriptures of Colossians 3:12-17 and also in I Peter chapter 3. It is in these scriptures that they find encouragement and strength of our faith to the church. To bring healing and encouragement to those who may be hurting or struggling with their faith, love and forgiveness in their church family. “So many times I hear about churches who have split or leaders who feel discouraged, even members who may want to leave or quit because of the lack of faith, love and forgiveness in their church families. It is after many of these kind of testimonies that I feel there is a desperate call out to those who are equipped, to hit this kind of attack , from the devil, on our churches head on, and allow God to bring healing to them.” Ross Cashman,Director of FTH.

Through their music and the word they trust that God will bring healing, encouragement, and strength to those who would hear and respond to God’s word. Both messages are combined and come from some of their own experiences. Through their testimonies and the word they plan to share how God brought them through not only their personal family struggles, but also the struggles they have faced in their own churches; even one in which they were co-pastors.

Who Are The Directors

Ross has been a leader in ministry for over 20 years, prior to that he grew up as a youth involved in church and in music. He first began his ministry as a young person trying to reach out to friends and other youth in wanting them to know the love God has for them. He ran into some difficult times in his teen years in which he says, “Has helped me understand and deal with youth today on their issues and struggles they face.” He then at 18 joined the US Army. He served eight years active and then joined the guard for another five years where he served his last 2 as a Chaplains asst. His ministry started in 1990, when he accepted a volunteer position as Youth Leader for the chapel at Ft Sill, Oklahoma, while stationed there. After being sent to Germany he found a local Baptist Missionary church and became involved with their youth. He also served as scout master for the local Boy Scout Troop 96.

In 1992, after coming home, he had faced some difficulties and trials that lead him away from the ministry. He believed this to be a learning opportunity for him to grow and understand the love God has for us and how when we stray God is always there to bring us back. He spent two years on the streets of San Antonio, finding a home wherever he could. He found the love of God through a local Pastor and his wife and once again accepted the call God had for him. In 1996 he went back home to his hometown, Junction, Texas, where he served as interim youth pastor for two and a half years. At the same time, attended Howard Payne University seeking a degree in youth ministry with a minor in music. In 1999, he found himself being asked to be a pastor of a local church in his hometown after the pastor had moved. He served two and a half years as pastor for Word Of Life Fellowship in Junction, Texas which birthed two other ministries to Spanish speaking denominations. He felt his call was to learn and understand the office of a pastor and develop a ministry for the Mexican culture there. In 2002 he felt the call once again back into youth ministry and has served in that ministry since. In 2008 he moved to Canada with his wife and served in youth ministry there and also as a worship leader for their church.

In 2009 he felt a strong call to focus more on the music ministry he had developed with his wife and in 2010 they made the choice to go full time into that ministry. He currently lives with his wife and son in Moosomin, Sk. Canada and serves as Co-Director for From The Heart Ministries with his wife.

Tina grew up in the music ministry. As a young girl, she traveled and recorded with her family, The Wes and Dorothy Pearce Family. They based their ministry out of Big Springs, Texas. She remembers growing up there and attending the local Christian School her church supported. They traveled in a remodeled, green and white school bus, that her father remodeled himself. She traveled with her sister and three brothers and they toured across the Midwest US and into Canada where her father was raised. Her family moved back to Canada in 1990 and she stayed in Texas.

While in Junction, Texas she served in Youth ministry at the Full Gospel Church. Coming from a music background and singing with her family she longed to have that same ministry with a family of her own someday. She met Ross in 1997 and then they were married in 2001. She has served with him in ministry, all the while longing to see her family one day in Canada. In 2008, after her father had passed away they felt the call to move to Canada to be closer to her family and to serve in ministry together there. She has been been helping her husband with the youth ministry there and served with Ross as a co-worship leader in their church. She followed the call in 2009 to help co-direct their music ministry. They currently have three children; J.R. (John Ross) who lives with them and two daughters in the US.

Mission Statement:

To take the Gospel to the world using music and God’s Word, the Holy Scriptures. We pray that God brings healing to the family through our ministry using our gifts; Both the family of the home, and the family of the church. From God’s heart to ours and our hearts to theirs. “And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord....” Colossians 3:23
