"Down the Drain with Jane"

Friday morning, the land phone went dead! Can you imagine this? I really made an effort to keep my cool, but Z didn’t take any chances, he left the house as soon as possible!

I was put on hold with the company for two hours, this means using my cell air time! Never got a real person on the line. I then called the billing number and got right through! Hmm! They give service for a money matter, but not for a service matter. I asked the lady in billing to call the repair number, however she said, “I can’t!” I asked, “You can’t or is it you won’t?” No reply was had. So, seeing as how I had her on the phone, I changed our service for all the whistles and bells to the plain Jane deal!

I have been fussing with the phone company for years and they really don’t care, so I decided that I didn’t have to pay for all the extras when I did need them and their service was so poor! Had call waiting, never knew how to work it! Had call forwarding, never knew how to work that either. Voice Mail!!!! Okay, got along with it before and can certainly get by without it now. Stumped my toe many a time rushing to get the phone before it went to voice mail anyway!

Lesson learned: Don’t try to buck big business, just don’t give’m your business! Or if you must you can just get the cut-rate deal and not the full meal deal!
