Llano Pioneers Chapter of the DRT Installs new Officers

The Llano Pioneers Chapter of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas met on May 28, 2013 for the Installation of Officers, and to welcome new member Connie Brandenberger Ludlum who transferred from the Sterling C. Robertson Chapter in Waco, Texas.

During the recent Annual Daughters of the Republic of Texas State Convention the Llano Pioneers Chapter was honored to receive for the second year in a row the prestigious Six-Star Award for outstanding achievement of a Chapter, and the Chapter is also proud to announce that our President Arlene Garey was elected for the next two years as the State DRT Custodian General, which is the chair of the Headquarters Committee that runs the daily business of the organization. Congratulations Arlene!

The Llano Pioneers Chapter of the DRT meets the 2nd Monday of each month at 10 a.m. in the Llano County Library in Llano and the next meeting will be September 9, 2013. Everyone is always welcome to visit any of the meetings and for anyone who is qualified to join the DRT or has any questions about joining, there are worksheets and an application preparation guide available to help you get started.
