Our heartfelt thanks to all the wonderful volunteer firefighters from Pontotoc, Castell, LLano, Mason, and Valley Spring for their hard work over several days putting out fires that threatened our home. While many acres of land were burned and many live oak trees are now burnt logs or just ashes, they worked very diligently to keep it from reaching our home. Thanks also to the wives, neighbors, friends and community for their support. Great job!! Well done!!

We do want to ask that all those who work outdoors with equipment be especially careful with machinery that can send sparks into the brush. Please carry extra water and have spotters should sparks fly. I don’t want others to have to lose their beautiful trees and land as we have to this fire.
