Twenty children came to The Painted Tree Studio to experience the ‘best time of their life’ while creating art with local artist Bridget Langdale. Thanks to the Mason community, Mason Recycling center, Kent Bruce, Mason Building & Supply, Country Collectibles, Mason Community ReSale Store, Gene Howard and so many others who donated wood scraps, metal odds and ends and other treasures. There were so many silent partners who assisted in this fun filled week of sculpture building.
When the kids arrived the drive way was filled with ….what I call inventory. No one thought we would use it all up. Once the kids saw the stuff their creative minds went to work and it was awesome to see how the work unfolded.
To see other sculptures from this week, check out our website www.thepaintedtreestudio and go to Class Pictures. There are also four installations on the property at 825 Wren located behind Lowes Grocery, which the children left for your enjoyment. Come by and see their work, their gift to you as a way of saying thank you for being a part of their best week of their life.
