Summer is moving right along and the members of Second Chance – Mason Animal Rescue have been busy with a number of projects.

The free spay/neuter program is in full swing. There are still plenty of funds available if you have a cat or a dog that needs to be spayed or neutered. For more information on the program or to sign up, contact Karen Welch at 347-6929.

The onslaught of puppies at the pound has slowed – at least for the moment. A big thank you to everyone who helped spread the word about the puppies. There are still three bigger puppies and some of the little puppies that have not been spoken for. They have been moved into foster care but they will need a great forever home soon. Please check our Facebook page for more information on the puppies that are still available.

Second Chance will have a booth at Roundup. Some of the animals available for adoption will be there so everyone will have a chance to meet them. The group will also have some fundraising items available. So if you have any questions or would like to support a great cause, please stop by.

The pet of the week this week is Alvin, an adorable gray and white male kitten. He is a bundle of kitten energy and very sweet to cuddle with. He has several siblings that are also available for adoption. Please visit www.secondchancemason.com for more information on adopting one of these sweet babies.
