You know what is more precious than me having my granddaughter dogs? Yep, having three of my four grandsons! They ranged from fifteen to nine and energy that if contained would generate enough power for a household or two. Love to see their imagination at work. Jitter Bug, nine years old, said he could build me a tree house in the pecan tree. It would have a couch and television. Gee, that’s what I need! Just getting up in the tree house would do me in.
When they left, it wasn’t that empty feeling, as I still had my grand dog girls. But, more precious than gold, are the small, medium and large hand prints on the storm door glass. Too, the precious nose prints of four doxie’s at one level and then having Cousin Louie’s a foot or so higher. Just makes one see the beauty of God’s hands though hand prints and nose prints. However, if they were Z’s hand and nose prints, I might just fuss at him!!
P.S. According to GRANDPA’S COUNTRY WISDOM: “Nothing on earth is finer than a good, slow two-inch rain.”
