Fires Caused by Fireworks
Wednesday, July 3, 2013 • Posted July 3, 2013

According to a City of Mason ordinance that has been in effect since 1950, firing or exploding fireworks within the City is prohibited; however, this is enforced, for the most part, only when a complaint is received.

Due to the dry conditions, EXTREME CAUTION should be taken when using fireworks. A citation will be issued to an adult(s) if a fire is started due to fireworks.

Those doing fireworks outside the City can be held liable for damages done to another person's property.

The 4th of July is a time of celebration, please by safe!
