July 13th Mason Round Up Parade Road Closing Location and Times

Post Hill, Schmidt and Bryan Streets will close at 7:00 a.m. for floats to line up.

Streets in the downtown area will close at 9:45 a.m.

Rerouting of highway traffic on city streets through town will begin at 9:50 a.m.

No parked vehicles are to be on West College Street from Live Oak to Moody Street..

A heavy volume of traffic can be expected on west boound College Street, east bound Rainey Street and Post Oak Street.

Persons wanting to attend the activities in the downtown area are encouraged to be parked in the downtown area before 9:30 a.m. Saturday morning. Streets will be closed to traffic!

Additional parking is available at the Methodist Church on the north side and the Lutheran Church on the east side of the downtown area.

A complete listing of street closures/reroutings follow:

7:00 a.m. - Street closing for floats. Check in for floats will be at Westmoreland & Post Hill (the jail). Post Hill will be closed to traffic through Schmidt, Bryan and back aroound to the intersection of Bryan and Moody St. (east).

9:45 a.m. - Street closings for parade.

Spring Stree N & Fulton, Broad & Fulton, N. Live Oak (RR 386) & Fulton.

Austin St. (SH 29 E) & Post Oak

San Antonio St. (US 87 S) & Post Oak, San Antonio St. (US 87 S) and S. Live Oak, San Antonio St. (US 87 S) & East College St.

Moody & Bryan (south), Bryan & Moody (west), Short & Moody (west), Moody at fire station.

Westmoreland & the alley behind the City office.

S. Robin & El Paso (RR 1871), El Paso (RR 1871) and S. Robin, El Paso (RR 1871) & S. Pecan.

S Avenue A & El Paso (RR 1871)

Ft. McKavitt (US 87 N) & N Robin by Hill Country Inn.

Ft. McKavitt (US 87 N) southbound & N Avenue A by Nacho's.

9:50 a.m. - rerouting of state highway traffic on city streets begins.

Highway 87 north bound turns left (west) on College Avenue over to RR 1871. Turn right (north) on RR 1871 to Pecan, then left (north) on Pecan to US 87 N by Short Stop.

Highway 87 south bound turns right (south) on Avenue A to Ranch Road 1871, then right (west) on RR 1871 to Rainey St, left (east) on Rainey St. to US 87.

Highway 29 west bound turns left (south) on Post Oak St. to College Avenue, then left (west) on College Ave. to RR 1871, right (north) on RR 1871 to Pecan, left (north) on Pecan to US 87/29 W.

Highway 29 east bound turns right (south) on RR 1871 to Rainey St., left (east) on Rainey to Post Oak St., left (north) on Post Oak St. to 29 East by Mason Feed Store.

Ranch Road 386 will be closed at Fulton St., so traffic will have to go around the north side of town to one of the four streets in the cemetery/auction ring area to SH 29 (Llano Highway).

All streets and highways closed for the parade should be opened back up by 11:00 a.m. The streets in the float staging area (Post Hill & Bryan) will remain closed until all floats have had time to load/leave.
