From the Librarian's Shelf...
Wednesday, July 10, 2013 • Posted July 11, 2013

This week at the library started off on a sour note. We discovered that someone had smeared feces all over one of the walls in the men’s restroom and scratched nasty words on the toilet paper dispenser. We have had previous incidents almost as nasty. I am so sorry that our cleaning people have had to deal with such dirty clean-ups. And as disgusting as such acts are, what really gets to me is how cowardly and how unappreciative that sick person must be to do such a thing to this beautiful facility. So, please, if you are upset about something we have done, do the right thing—have the courage to come in and talk to us about it. After all, we can’t resolve the issue unless we know what the problem is and who you are. And if you know who’s doing it, come in and tell us—we won’t say how we found out.
