Myrtle Willman Wade

Myrtle Willman Wade passed away on Monday, July 22, 2013, from complications caused by a broken hip. She was born on February 22, 1922, in Mason, TX.

She is survived by her husband, Wallace; four children - Jeanie Wade Newman and husband Jim from Mesquite, TX; Jerry Wade and wife Terre from Andrews, TX; Janice Wade Hart and husband Ed from Mesquite, TX; and Gary Wade and wife Debbie from McCamey, TX; eight grandchildren - Christy Newman Walters and husband Justin; Elisha Newman; Amanda Newman Schwartz and husband Randy; Ben Wade and wife Savannah; Dayton Hart and wife Morgan; Megan Hart Livesay and husband John; Steve Wade and wife Crystal; and, Dhara Wade Ogee and husband Mike; and fourteen great grandchildren.

Mrs. Wade was a teacher for 35 years in the Crane ISD. After she and Wallace retired, they returned to Mason where they have lived for 27 years. She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church and served on various committees for the church. She was instrumental in starting the GED program in Mason and taught many students so that they could earn their high school diplomas.

She was beloved by her family and will be greatly missed.

Funeral services are Thursday, July 25 at 10:00 a.m. in the First United Methodist Church in Mason, TX.
