Second Chance Animal Rescue - Gus
Wednesday, July 24, 2013 • Posted July 27, 2013

The members of Second Chance – Mason Animal Rescue would like to thank everyone who stopped by during Roundup to learn more about the group, pick up some goodies, and play with some adorable puppies. The event was a big success!

Our volunteers were happy to share information on the group’s ongoing programs, including our free spay/neuter campaign.

If you missed the chance to see the sweet puppies available for adoption please check out Second Chance’s Facebook page or the website at Several have been adopted but there are still some available.

There are also a number of cats and kittens available for adoption. If you are looking for a feline friend we probably have one that will be a great match.

The City Pound has also stayed full through most of the summer. There are currently a number of sweet and friendly adult dogs that need to find a forever family or a foster family soon or they will be euthanized. If you can help please contact a member of Second Chance or the city animal control officer.

Please do your part to help reduce the population of unwanted animals coming into the pound. Spay or neuter your pets and encourage your friends and family to do the same.

Second Chance’s pet of the week this week is Gus, an adult male mixed breed dog. Gus is about two or three years old and looks like he may be part Lab. He is very friendly and plays well with other dogs. For more information on Gus or any of the other animals available for adoption please contact Second Chance at 347-6929.
