Llano Wild Game Dinner August 31st

The Llano County Jr. Livestock Show Association will be holding its’ 4th annual Wild Game Dinner on Saturday, August 31st 2013 at the Llano County Community Center. The event will begin at 8pm. All of the proceeds from the event will benefit the Llano County 4H and FFA.

A variety of sumptuous wild game will be offered on the menu including but not limited to White Tail and Axis deer, Wild hog, Moufalon, Barbado and Aoudad Sheep, as well as other delicacies. As in all of the previous Wild Game Dinners, Cooper’s Barbeque will prepare the evening fare. Accompanying the game will be Cole slaw, potato salad, beans and other delectable items including home made deserts. Miiller’s Meats will be working in conjunction with Cooper’s in the meal preparation.

This year, there will be a clear distinction on Raffle items and live auction items offered to the attendees of the Wild Game Dinner. The stock show association will be raffling:

Barnett Penetrator Crossbow.

Pistols: Ruger SR22, Taurus 1911 45 ACP, Para 1911 45 ACP, Taurus Judge, Ruger Black Hawk 44 Mag., S&W 9mm Shield.

Shotguns will include: Remington model 1187 in both 12 and 20Ga., Mossburg 12Ga. 535 Field, Mossburg 12Ga. 930 cammo, Mossburg 20Ga., Mossburg (Pink) 20Ga, Mossburg Flex 12Ga.

Rifles in the Raffle will include: Marlin 22LR Bolt Action, Ruger 10/22 Take Down, Henry Golden Boy 22LR, Savage 17HMR Combo/Cammo, Savage Axis 223, Thompson Venture 22/250, Ruger 308, Marlin XL7 20/06, Howa 270, Henry Lever Action 22Mag. (Octagon Barrel,) Remington 700 BDL 243, Savage 22Mag., Rossi 45/70, Marlin 22 Model M60.

Live Auction items will include: 22 Cricket (Pink,) Marlin XT17VR, Rossi 410/22 youth combo, Ruger LC9 Pistol (Lavender color,) Heritage 22/22Mag., along with many other hunting accessories including, (new this year) a variety of calibers of ammunition, blinds, feeders, guided hunts, and many other surprise items.

Other games will feature Jewelry, an AR 15 by Wyndam Armory and a CZ 20Ga. Over/under shotgun.

There will also be a silent auction of items donated by individuals and merchants in Llano and the surrounding area on which the public may bid.

Tickets are available at the Llano Chamber of Commerce, Midway Guns and Ammo, Cooper’s Barbeque, Miiller’s Meats, Helping Hands Rehabilitation, along with 4H and FFA members. Dinner tickets are available for a donation of $15.00 each and raffle tickets are $5.00 each.
