The Mason Lions club met Tuesday, July 23rd, for its regular weekly luncheon meeting. There were 32 members in attendance.

Lion Will Frey was responsible for the program and, in the absense of Reggie Loeffler, who was to give the program, he explained that Reggie was the new EMS Director, and he had to go on a call can was unable to be at the meeting.

Will said that, along with the city, the county now has four full time employees to staff the ambulances. Will answered some questions about the EMS and what the county was doing to support it.

Perfect attendance pins were given to the following: Chuck Bearden, Michael Cope, Ken Cordero, Gene Gammill, John Gammill, Kirby Groves, Brent Hinckley, Harold Hoerster, James Kingston, Joel Kuykendall, Fritz Landers, Dane Phillips, Pat Reardon, H. C. Reichenau and Larry Spell.

The club’s next meeting will be held next Tuesday, July 30th, at noon at Willow Creek Cafe. The program chairman will be Chris Dyer.

The Mason Lion’s Club has an ongoing program to recycle used eyeglasses to people who need them. Used eyeglasses may be given to any Lion or left in collection boxes at any of the local banks. Also please contact any Mason Lion if you know of anyone in our community unable to afford appropriate eye care.
