Yes, you will be all of these when you see the 30 decorated chairs the FAAHC will present to the public on Saturday, September 7, 2013, at the Richard P. Eckert Center.
Judy Schoenfeld, Chairwoman of the FAAHC Chair-ity auction, hosted the second and final workshop this past Tuesday at her home in Art. Members had the opportunity to receive assistance from George Schoenfeld, in finishing their chairs. George has a fabulous workshop with some great power tools to nail, staple or upholster adornments to their chairs.
Members have been working diligently to complete their chairs with some incredible designs. Here are some examples of names of those chairs to tickle your imagination: White Horse, Bejeweled, Crocheted Funk, The Green Frog, Papa Jack’s fishing chair, Point me to my chair!!! And there’re 25 more for you to experience. All types of chairs including children’s rockers to an elaborate design by Dorrett Townsend and Raymond Uherek which involves a large cedar post and a welded seat!!!!
The Tuscan wine/cheese, Chair-ity event will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2013, at the Robert Clay vineyards in Streeter. Chairs will be auctioned off with all proceeds going towards the FAAHC scholarship fund which benefits the following counties: Kimble, Mason, Menard and McCulloch.
