Foundation funds "Fix Your Critter" Campaign
Wednesday, August 7, 2013 • Posted August 8, 2013

Mason Community Foundation has given a grant to 2nd Chance to support their campaign to encourage people to spay and neuter their household pets. David and Andy Rosberg of Hill Country Veterinary Hospital are generously participating by reducing their fees for services scheduled by 2nd Chance. This cooperative effort serves people who are unable to afford to have their pets fixed. To date 2nd Chance has sponsored the operations for 31 dogs and 26 cats through the free program.

In their ongoing rescue work 2nd Chance has placed 125 dogs/puppies and 80 cats/kittens since March 2012. All of the animals have gone to good forever homes and there have been no returns.

Mason Community Foundation uses proceeds from the Community Thrift Store to fund grants to non-profits to provide programs and projects which benefit the community of Mason and contribute to the good of a large number of its citizens. Come Shop and Drop (donations) at the Community Thrift Store on the Square at 206 Moody. It’s Your Store!

The next deadline for submitting grant applications to Mason Community Foundation is September 3rd. Applications can be obtained at the Community Thrift Store on the Square.
