Messy Work
Wednesday, August 7, 2013 • Posted August 8, 2013

Monster (Jaxson Reichenau – son of Kassi Reichenau), Butterfly (Emmy Ashby - granddaughter of Tyra & Roger Jordan), Cow (Ashleigh Odom – granddaughter of Johanna Hofmann), and Ninja (Walker Ince – son of Rene and Dave Ince)………all came to The Painted Tree Studio for four days of art.

For two days we were up to our elbows in gooey, soupy glue, getting stuck to strips of newspaper, trying to figure out how to cover that slippery, wet rolling balloon. And other times the kids were fascinated as they watched the glue dry, crinkle and make unique crackles over their hands.

“Can we wash our hands, NOW?...was the question Instructor Bridget Langdale heard repeatedly during the creative time. “Are you sure this will wash off?’ was another concerned question.

On day three, the work was ready to paint. For their Community Project the group decided to paint Flowers to add to the FLOWER FENCE, located on Kettner Street. Laura Jordan and Annette Ashby’s work not pictured. Thanks for a great week….JOB WELL DONE!
