The Mason Lions club met Tuesday, August 6th, for its monthly business meeting. There were 37 members and three visitors in attendance.

"Boss" Lion Fritz Landers was responsible for the program and Secretary/Treasurer Gene Gammill read the minutes and gave the financial report.

Joel Kuykendall volunteered to do the picture taking for the club when we have a program, presentation or function. John Gammill will be the contact from the Mason Lions Club for the Texas Lions Camp.

There will be a Hamburger Lunch on August 30th. The proceeds will be used to pay the fees for our 501 (c) (3) application. The meeting adjourned at 1:00 p.m.

The club’s next meeting will be held next Tuesday, August 13th, at noon at Willow Creek Cafe. The program chairman will be Elliott Courtright.

The Mason Lion’s Club has an ongoing program to recycle used eyeglasses to people who need them. Used eyeglasses may be given to any Lion or left in collection boxes at any of the local banks. Also please contact any Mason Lion if you know of anyone in our community unable to afford appropriate eye care.
