Salah Marie Smith of Mason, Texas, and Kyle Edward Eckert of Mason, Texas, were married Saturday, June 1st, six o’clock in the afternoon at the First United Methodist Church of Mason. Pastor Colleen Haley of Mason, Texas officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. Paul Smith and Mrs. Brenda Lange of Mason, Texas.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Eckert of Mason, Texas.
Music was performed by Marilyn Kahan and Pastor Colleen Haley. The bridal party advanced to Canon in D. The bride progressed to the Wedding March. Pastor Colleen Haley played the piano and sang “When I Say I Do” by Mathew West. Pianist, Marilyn Kahan, played for the recessional.
During the ceremony, the bride’s uncle, Mark Lehmberg of Mason, Texas, read Ecclesiastes 4:9-12. The groom’s uncle, Billy Henderson of Austin, Texas, read Genesis 2:18-24.
Kody Eckert, brother of the groom, of Mason, Texas, was best man. Groomsmen were Bobby Ziriax of San Angelo, Texas, Jim Bob Smith of Mason, Texas, brother of the bride Cade Smith of San Angelo, Texas, brother of the bride Chase Smith, of Mason, Texas, Matt Schmidt of Mason, Texas, and Joe David Langehennig of Mason, Texas. Ushers were Hunter Geistweidt of Mason, Texas, Rode Moore of San Antonio, Texas, and Reagan Bownds of Mason, Texas. They wore tan suites with champagne ties and boutonnieres of ivory roses.
Sherry Schmidt of Mason, Texas, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Kristi Nipp of Fort Worth, Texas, Chelsea Crawford of San Antonio, Texas, Tana Autrey of Franklin, Texas, Misty Martin of Austin, Texas, Diane Crouch of San Angelo, Texas, and Summer Ragsdale of Oxford, Mississippi. They wore pearl pink knee-length dresses and carried bouquets of ivory and pale pink roses accented with feathers.
The bride’s nieces, Hiedi Smith and Landyn Smith, of Mason, Texas were the flower girls for the ceremony, and Jager Eckert, the groom’s nephew, was the ring bearer for the ceremony.
The bride was escorted by her father, Paul Smith of Mason, Texas. She moved gracefully in her Allure gown fashioned with delicate lace appliques. The strapless gown featured a slightly scooped neckline, ivory, satin ruched waistband, and Swarovski crystals. She carried a bouquet of ivory and pale pink roses accented with pearls and feathers. The stems were wrapped in ivory lace from her mother’s wedding veil.
The bride and groom spent the week following their wedding on their honeymoon in Cabo San Lucus. Upon return, the couple will reside in Mason, Texas where the bride will continue to work for Mason ISD and the groom will work at Arrowhead Bank in Llano, Texas.
