Mason 4-H Seniors Meet in Grape Creek
Wednesday, August 28, 2013 • Posted August 29, 2013

Mason County senior 4-Hers attended the District 7 Fall 4-H meeting in Grape Creek on August 17. They enjoyed a day of meetings and workshops with 4-Hers and leaders from the 23 area Counties that make up District 7. Pictured are Price Ruffin, Aaron Alm, Sierra Martin, and Coby Velez. Sierra was elected the Chairman of the Sheep and Goat District 4-H Project Committee and will help to plan a Showmanship Clinic in Ballinger later in the year. Sierra and Price are both certified 4-H Livestock Ambassadors and will be coaching our livestock judging kids in the absence of an Agriculture Agent. They are very qualified, considering they are part of our winning Texas team, and runners up at the National contest. Sierra even went on to judge at an International Contest in Scotland this summer! The first 4-H livestock judging practice will be after the first regular 4-H meeting on September 8.
