The Mason Lions club met Tuesday, August 20th, for its regular weekly luncheon meeting. There were 40 members and five visitors in attendance.

Lion Mark Hurta was responsible for the program and talked about his job as a photographer on a cruise line.

Mark works for N.C.L., or Norwegian Cruise Lines. He told about all the equipment that he uses and the different ways that the photos are taken (i.e. posed, snapshots, and with backgrounds). He said every person is photographed as they get on the ship for a photo ID card.

He also told about the ratings that the passengers give them and that he had won a certificate as the friendliest employee a few times.

Mark was leaving August 22nd for another tour on the cruise ship.

The club’s next meeting will be held next Tuesday, August 27th, at noon at Willow Creek Cafe.

The Mason Lion’s Club has an ongoing program to recycle used eyeglasses to people who need them. Used eyeglasses may be given to any Lion or left in collection boxes at any of the local banks. Also please contact any Mason Lion if you know of anyone in our community unable to afford appropriate eye care.
