Matt Hargrove, director of public relations for GreenStar, a new enterprise in Mason County spoke to the members of the Menard-Kimble-Mason Retired Teacher Association at their meeting held at Mi Pueblo Restaurant on September 3rd.

He stressed the elimination of waste by using paper. The business is able to obtain enormous amounts of paper that has 50-75% water in it which also saves water.

Several members of the teacher group toured the facility where the blocks made of paper, water and concrete produce papercrete which is used to build houses.

One building is constructed in 1800s after the Chicago World's Fair and is still in use.
