The Mason Lions club met Tuesday, September 3rd, for its monthly business meeting. There were 38 members and one visitor in attendance.

"Boss" Lion Fritz Landers was responsible for the program and Secretary/Treasurer Gene Gammill read the minutes and gave the financial report.

Eva Tannehill gave an update on the 5K/10K Walk-Run. Sign-up sheets for various duties during the 5K/10K Walk-Run were passed around for the members to pick their jobs.

There being no other business, the meeting adjourned.

The club’s next meeting will be held next Tuesday, September 3rd, at noon at Willow Creek Cafe. The program chairman will be Ron Freytag.

The Mason Lion’s Club has an ongoing program to recycle used eyeglasses to people who need them. Used eyeglasses may be given to any Lion or left in collection boxes at any of the local banks. Also please contact any Mason Lion if you know of anyone in our community unable to afford appropriate eye care.
