The Mason Lions club met Tuesday, September 10th, for its regular weekly luncheon meeting. There were 30 members and one visitor in attendance.

Lion John Palacio was responsible for the program and gave an update on things that are happening in the City.

The Recycle Center is doing a great business and the Mason citizens are to be commended for their effort in making this a great project.

The water levels are near mandatory water rationing stage; bue, with the cool weather and less use from lawn watering, John said the levels should start coming up soon.

He said the landfill was keeping up thanks to all the recycling. John took some questions from the club and then the meeting adjourned.

The club’s next meeting will be held next Tuesday, September 17th, at noon at Willow Creek Cafe. The program chairman will be Gene Gammill and the program will be on the West Texas Eye Bank.

The Mason Lion’s Club promotes sight conservation in our community. Anyone who has used eyeglasses to donate may give them to a Lions Club member or put them in collection boxes at the local banks. Also, if anyone needs financial assistance with eyeglasses, please speak to a local Lions Club member.
