The Mason County 4-H Club is once again going to go door-to-door for items to go with the Thanksgiving turkeys that the First United Methodist Church gives to Food Bank clients. We will be out and about on Sunday, October 20 from 1:30 until 3:30pm. Here is a list of the items to be collected:

boxed stuffing

canned green beans and yams/sweet potatoes

cranberry sauce

brownie mix

tin foil

Money is also appreciated to purchase aluminum roaster pans and fresh eggs, which will be included but are not easily collectible going door-to-door! We will also take other items for the Food Bank, and I am told peanut butter is especially appreciated. If you would like us to come by your house on the 20th, please call the Extension office at 325-347-6459 with your name and address. You are always welcomed to bring items to the Extension office in the Historical Building at 505 Moody Street. Angie Dudney, Mason High School Family and Consumer Science teacher and her FCCLA Club will also be collecting these items at the High School, and we thank them for their help with this project!
