On Thursday, the Mason Puncher 8th graders faced off against the San Saba Armadillos, winning by a score of 38-0.

From the opening kickoff the end of the 4th quarter, the Punchers established their dominance. The opening kickoff went to the Armadillos who immediately took a hit and fumbled the ball which was recovered by the Punchers.

The Punchers forced a total of 4 turnovers, 3 of which led to touchdowns. The defense for the 8th grade Punchers was rock solid the entire game, giving up 0 points and only 3 to 4 first downs. On the other side of the ball, the 8th grade offense was executing to perfection, scoring 5 touchdowns on the ground by 5 different ball carriers. Obviously, the offensive line was mashing bodies and creating holes for the ball carriers to move through easily.
