Susan Bosse is the Artist of the Month at the Mason Co. M. Beven Eckert Memorial Library. Her works will be on display both in the foyer and within the library throughout this month. Susan is a self-taught local artist originally from West Texas. She paints with acrylics on anything from wood to canvas. The pointillism technique she uses in influenced by the Oaxacan folk art of Mexico and somewhat resembles the aboriginal art of Australia. She loves color and whimsical designs with a touch of realism as with horned toads she paints. Susan’s works of art have sold in San Antonio, Houston, Santa Fe, Boulder, and Mason. Susan describes her work as not quite folk art, aboriginal art, or pointillism but always fun. The library is very proud to display her talent.
