We’re a bunch of inquisitive folks, in these parts. If we come upon a stranger we just have to ask, “Who are you?” This is followed by another question, “Who do you belong to?” In cases that we don’t know that name, we will ask, “Well, who’s your Grandpa?

There are those times when they are really new and don’t belong to anyone in the community and that’s when you have to ask more precise questions. Like, “Why did you come here?” And then it’s always, “Where do you work?” We just have to know these questions. It’s in our local makeup! We might have to keep on asking questions, till we’re satisfied that we understand. Coming from NEW YORK CITY, somehow leaves us frazzled!

I used the word inquisitive because it sounds nicer than, “NOSEY!”

P.S. According to GRANDPA’S COUNTY WISDOM; “To know how country folks are doing, look at their barns, and not their houses.”
