The Mason Lions club met Tuesday, October 1st, for it’s monthly business meeting. There were 35 members and one visitor in attendance. “Boss” Lion Fritz Landers was responsible for the program and Secretary/Treasurer Gene Gammill read the minutes and gave the financial report.

Lion Mark Lehmberg reported on the 5K/10K race sponsored by the club which was held Saturday September 28th. Lion Dane Phillips distributed Tee shirts to members who participated and to those who were sponsors. Lion Jess Irwin reported on the progress of the sales tax application. It was reported that The Mason Lions Club was originally chartered on February 10th, 1942.

There being no other business, the meeting was adjourned.

The club’s next meeting will be held Tuesday, September 8th, at Willow Creek Cafe. The program will be presented by District Governer Frank Bergthold.
