Drazan Awarded Scholarship

Lorri Ann Elizabeth Drazan, a graduate of Mason High School, has been awarded a scholarship by the Texas Interscholastic League Foundation.

Drazan received the Carl B. and Florence E. King Foundation Endowment Scholarship in the amount of $12,000, payable $3,000 a year for four years. The King Foundation awarded scholarships to students who have participated in the University Interscholastic League Academic State Meet and who have compiled an outstanding record of academic and extracurricular achievement.

This year the TILF awarded 411 new scholarships and will renew 179 multi-year awards for a total of 590 scholarships being distributed during the 2013-14 academic year, with a value of over $1.1 million. Recipients must attend any approved college or university in Texas.

Drazan competed in informative speaking at the 2011, 2012 and 2013 UIL Academic Stat Meets, in 2013 she also competed in current issues at the state meet. Drazan also competed in UIL cross country throughout her high school career.

Drazan is currently attending Texas State University - San Marcos and majors in Business Management—Human Resources Concentration.
