Puncher Band Scores 2nd Division
Wednesday, October 23, 2013 • Posted October 24, 2013

This past Saturday, the Mason Puncher Band participated in the Region 7 UIL Marching Contest in Early, Texas. The band received a 2nd division for their performance.

The judges comments included, “Good Selections, well planned show, an excellent performance, just a few too many mistakes.” “Pitch and intonation were an issue today, marching was okay, I enjoyed your performance.”

“It wasn’t our best performance on Saturday, but I was really proud of the kids for how we did this year,” said Bobby Halamicek. “We improved a lot from last year. Unfortunately we seemed to do better on Friday nights than we did on the day of contest. We are now going to focus our efforts on supporting our Puncher Football team, prepare for our upcoming Christmas concert, and get ready for Concert and Sight-Reading contest in the spring.

"I also want to say thanks to everyone for their kind words about the show this year. The last home game will feature portions of our UIL show as well as a song performed by both the JH & HS bands.”
