It is with great pleasure that the Board of Directors of the Mason County Chamber of Commerce announce the selection of our new Executive Director, Chasity Rojas.
Chasity, an Army veteran formerly stationed in Louisiana and Germany, holds a degree in Criminal Justice, worked for the City of Round Rock Police Department and now lives here in Mason with her husband and children. Chasity grew up in Fredericksburg, TX and has spent most of her life here in the Texas Hill Country.
“We are very excited to have Chasity join our team,” commented Pat Dixon, President of the Board. “The new Board has worked hard over the past three years re-establishing the Chamber in the Mason community. Many members do not know that we have cleaned up and renovated the office and expect the final phase to be complete by the end of this year. Once this happens there will be local artwork on the walls to support Mason ARTWalk that will be for sale to help our members have more opportunity to generate revenue. We’ve spent time working with our B&B’s and Guest House owners to increase traffic and awareness that in Mason you can rent an entire house at the same cost as a hotel room elsewhere. The Board was extremely excited about the investment in the new website which makes it easier for end users to locate businesses and events in Mason. We support our local ranchers with their hunting lease information for those joining us during this important season. New brochures were designed and printed for Fort Mason, our museums, the Odeon, our restaurants, lodging, shopping and more. And we’ve greeted hundreds of guests by phone and in person from other states and countries. The office is positive and happy and we are so glad Chasity is here to work with us. Supporting our members is our priority given we are a membership organization. We have a lot of work to do this weekend at the Wild Game Dinner and throughout 2014. Hopefully, many neighbors we have missed will join us on Nov. 9 for wild game, our famous raffles and this year a dance. We look forward to reaching out, giving back and, hopefully, making a positive difference.”
