Wednesday, November 13, 2013 • Posted November 14, 2013

The 8th grade Mason Punchers finished their football season on Thursday with a 50-0 win against the Center Point Pirates, making them a perfect 9-0 on the season. The Puncher team had an outstanding season, finishing the 9 game season with 284 points scored and only 27 points allowed.

In the last game of the season, the Punchers came out hot, scoring 28 points in the first quarter, with 2 rushing touchdowns by Jake Comey and Bode McMillan, as well as passing touchdowns caught by Truman Magnus and Fernando Torres. It was an impressive display of execution and teamwork by both the offense and the defense, putting up big numbers on the scoreboard while shutting out the opponent.

At the end of the season, many, many players stepped up and improved. This group of young men did a great job of continuing the winning tradition that comes with being a Mason Puncher, as well as showing pride in themselves and their community.
