Our Mother, Clara McInnis, will celebrate her 100th birthday on Saturday, November 23rd. Clara moved to Mason six years ago to be near her daughter and son-in-law, Virginia and Kenneth Durst. She enjoys attending the Art Methodist Church, playing Bingo, and eating lunch at the Mason Senior Center where she has made many good friends. Clara also enjoys afternoon coffee get-togethers at the Dairy Queen with friends, and frequently skips town for a week or so to visit her other daughter and son-in-law in Fort Worth. She even takes off to New Mexico now and then to spend time with her son and daughter-in-law who live in Carlsbad. When asked what her secret is to such a long life, she says she doesn’t have one. “I just worked hard all my life and tried to always do the right thing. That’s all. God has blessed me with a long and healthy life and I am very grateful. ”
Come join us for cake and refreshments as we celebrate our Mother’s 100th birthday on Saturday afternoon, November 23rd, between 2 o’clock and 4:30 o’clock, at the Richard P.
