Mason Youth Football Teams Come Out On Top

On October 26th in Liberty Hill, both of the Mason Youth Football teams played in the championship games for Division 2 of the Hill Country Youth Football League. The 3rd/4th grade team finished the season with 7 wins and 1 loss defeating San Saba Armadillos 26-7 in the Super Bowl. The 5th and 6th team played a hard fought defensive struggle to the end, but came up short falling 7-0 to a tough San Saba team. The Punchers finished the year 6 wins and 2 losses.

On November 16th, several of the youth football players from both 3rd/4th and the 5th/6th teams competed in the Harper 7 on 7 tournament. The 5th/6th grade team walked away with the championship honors defeating Junction in the finals and finished the day undefeated. The 3rd/4th team ended up with 1 win and 2 losses after three very close games, but everyone had a lot of fun and gained some valuable football experience.
