Community Thrift Store volunteer Charles Garner won the door prize (a cyclamen) at the volunteer appreciation lunch on Nov 7th. He repairs donated furniture and other goods so they can be sold at the Community Thrift Store.
Volunteers are great! Community Thrift Store held an appreciation luncheon on November 7th for our regular store volunteers. They come each week to restock our racks and shelves. They mend and repair donated goods as well the store equipment and facilities. Volunteers are key to our success and the generation of funds to provide grants for the community. Since 2007 proceeds from the Community Thrift Store have enabled Mason Community Foundation to fund 75 grants totaling over $ 230,000 to support projects in Mason County. Community Thrift Store appreciates our volunteers.Standing left to right: Amanda Orozpe, Judy Schoenfeld, Charles Garner, Maribelle Hoerster; Sitting left to right: Monica Hinckley, Helen Hahn, Nan Larrimore.
