Ministerial Alliance Partners with Salvation Army in Mason
Wednesday, December 4, 2013 • Posted December 4, 2013

Just about everyone knows that this time of year the Salvation Army is out in full force ringing bells, greeting people with, “Merry Christmas,” and accepting donations to help those in need. What you may not know is that the Salvation Army has partnered with the Mason County Ministerial Alliance to ensure that money raised in Mason County stays in Mason County. One hundred percent of the money raised in kettle donations stays right here in Mason to help the people of Mason.

Through the partnership with the Ministerial Alliance, we are able to provide more comprehensive emergency assistance that goes beyond the financial capabilities of the Ministerial Alliance alone.

Lowe’s grocery store has graciously allowed us to put our kettle in front of their store for the next three weekends before Christmas. We will have the kettle available for donations Friday afternoons from noon to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. If you would like to be involved in “ringing the bell,” please contact any of the churches in town, and they can put you in touch with someone who will get you signed up to serve.

We are using an online service to coordinate volunteers. If you would like to go directly through the online service, contact Catherine Dyer at River of Life Church, 325-347-9497, and she can tell you how to find the registration service online. It’s very easy to do, and you can see all of the open time slots available.

God bless you, and Merry Christmas from the Mason County Ministerial Alliance and the Salvation Army.
