Today, Dec. 18th, is the deadline for making your donation to the annual Mason County E.M.S. fundraiser: “Operation Christmas Greeting”. This paper’s Christmas edition is December 24th and it will contain a Texas size “Community Greeting Card” that has an alphabetical listing of all contributors. Only the total amount of all donations is ever listed.
The Mason County “Greeting” began twelve years ago and the goal each year is to provide funds for equipment needs. As Reggie Loeffler, EMS Director, stated previously: “This year’s funds will be applied toward McGrath Laryngoscopes. They are the latest cutting edge technology in video laryngoscopes that make intubations easier and more successful in, at times, very difficult situations.”
If you have not yet made your donation, please, fill out a coupon (use the one located in this week’s paper or pick one up at your bank), printing your listing exactly as you wish it to appear on the “Greeting”. Deposit your check - made payable to “Operation Christmas Greeting” marked “EMS” - with your coupon attached, at any of Mason’s three banks.
All who reside in or visit this ‘Gem of the Hill Country’ recognize that this is a very special place but a very rural one. Medical help can be many miles away. We want this area to have the best equipment possible in time of need.
Support this “life-saving” association and spread your “Merry Christmas” greeting in town and across the miles that this paper travels. We ask for your support. “Thank You!”
