It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas.

Especially last week.

What a frosty white world.

And colder than a well digger’s…..

Well, anyway…

How cold was it?

It was sooooo cold…

They played ice hockey on the streets in Dallas.

And now they’re saying another one’s comin.’

Like, end of the week.

But weather is weather.

And it changes all the time.

Maybe “they” will be wrong.

If it’s this cold now, think of February.

No, forget that.

Think of how hot we’ll all be…soon enough.

Sweating and complaining.

August, August, August.

Yep, I’m feeling warmer already.

If your dog needs warming up, get a sweater.

I mean for the dog.

Reigning Cats & Dogs has quite a selection.

Or get a heating pad.

Try Hinckley’s.

Or The Script Shoppe.

Or Dollar General.

But if you need warming up, check out Ranchland Western Wear.

Or, for the ladies, Lilacs ‘N Calico.

Or The Thing Is.

Don’t forget the Community Thrift Store.

And eat a hot lunch.

Like at Square Plate.

Or Willow Creek Café.

Maybe a hot (calor), hot (caliente) lunch.

At Nacho’s Café.

Mi Pueblo.

Tres Caminos.

Or Santos Taqueria.

Have a hot beverage and warm pastry at Topaz Confections.

And don’t forget to fill that propane tank.

Call Community Service.

Or Mason Gas Co.

Wanna build a fire in the fireplace?

Sometimes folks stuff a pillow up inside the flue.

You know, to block any drafts.

And then forget it’s up there.

And light the fire.

Not a pretty picture.

So make sure it’s clean and safe.

Call Kendal Hemphill, Chimney Sweep.

After all, Santa’s on his way.

That’s Mason.
