The Mason Lions club met Tuesday, December 10th, for its regular weekly luncheon meeting. There were 35 members and four visitors in attendance. Among the visitors were two Mason High School seniors, Tracy Jordan and Cassie Benefield.

Lion Jess Irwin was responsible for the program and he spoke about the laws of "Castle Law" and "Stand Your Ground."

Jess gave some very informative and interesting facts about both of these laws. They are not as simple as some people think; but, they are a way a person has to protect their lives, and their families' lives, from grave danger. This was a very good program.

The Lions Club wants to thank every one who supported the Hamburger Lunch with their presence and donations.

The club’s next meeting will be held next Tuesday, December 17th, at noon at Willow Creek Cafe. The program chairman will be Mark Kirby and the program will be the Christmas party.

The Mason Lion’s Club promotes sight conservation in our community. Anyone who has used eyeglasses to donate may give them to a Lions Club member or put them in collection boxes at the local banks. Also, if anyone needs financial assistance with eyeglasses, please speak to a local Lions Club member.
