Tuition 4

Dear Mr. Gamel:

First of all, I would like to thank everyone from the Mason County Child Welfare Board for all of their donations to the dual credit tuition assistance fund last year and this year. I know that alot of time and effort is put into raising the money.

My name is Pascual Callejas, and I am a junior at Mason High School. I am taking U.S. History dual credit class and Government dual credit class. Although these classes are not as expensive as they would be if I was in college, it is still difficult to come up with large sums of money in a large family of eight. This summer I was able to save up half of the tuition fee working for Brett Loeffler building fences. I worked forty hours a week, but much of the money I made went to groceries and bills. I’m also helping my older brother, Tomas Callejas, who is attending college at Angelo State University. I understand the value of a dollar, and I am very thankful to live in a town like Mason where the citizens care so much about the education of its students.

Once again I thank the Mason County Child Welfare Board and the community for its generosity.
