3 Fort Explorers Examine Fort Mason Grounds
Wednesday, January 1, 2014 • Posted December 31, 2013

Several fort explorers were up on the hill examining the fort grounds this week. They discovered a lady’s ring, bullets, cartridges, shoulder lapel, horse and mule shoes, bowie knife hilt, and sword hilt, soldier’s ration can (about 1858), and other items which will be cleaned and displayed during 2014. Larry Cissna of Sweeney, his son Jake, and father-in-law Ed Orsak searched two days south and west of the fort officers quarters. They plan to be back the first of February with fellows of the TV “Dig Wars” channel.
