Candidate Forum Scheduled For January 9th in Llano
Wednesday, January 1, 2014 • Posted December 31, 2013

The Llano Tea Party will host a Candidate Forum on January 9th for individuals seeking election in the March 4th Primaries. Those invited to participate in the forum include candidates for national and statewide office in Texas. The public is invited and encouraged to attend. It is the goal of the Llano Tea Party to assist area residents in making informed choices in determining who will represent their parties in the November General Election.

Inman’s Kitchen (Hwy 29 West) in Llano will once again serve as the location for the January 9th forum. Social time begins at 6:00pm, with dinner and program following around 6:30 p.m. The dinner is $15 with reservations made by January 7th; those without a dinner reservation will be asked to contribute $17.50. Children 12 and under always eat free. To make reservations please contact Patricia Dawson by January 7th at 325 247-4567. While the dinner is optional, it is important to make a reservation so adequate seating is available. Should it become necessary to cancel a reservation, please do so by contacting Mrs. Dawson no later than January 7th when a commitment to Inman’s Catering is required.

The February 6th meeting of the Llano Tea Party will be another candidate forum for those individuals seeking District and County positions. As usual, the February meeting will be held at Inman’s beginning at 6:00pm. LTP encourages the public to attend and to become familiar with those seeking to represent us as elected officials of the County and District.

All registered voters are encouraged to vote on March 4th. Along with your voter registration card, a photo ID is required for those wishing to vote.

The Llano Tea Party was organized in the summer of 2010, with the aim of taking back our government. LTP believes in a limited government working for “We, the people,” individual responsibility, free enterprise, and traditional values. Upholding the U.S. Constitution, lowering taxes, protecting private property, and ensuring State’s rights in all matters not specifically granted to the U.S. Government are among those ideals for which LTP strives. The Llano Tea Party is operated as a 527 PAC which allows financial contributions to its chosen conservative candidates. Special committees focus on educating area residents as well as monitoring elected officials.

The Tea Party has scheduled future meetings to be held the First Thursday each month at Inman’s Kitchen (Hwy. 29 West) in Llano, beginning at 6:00 p.m. All like-minded persons are invited to attend. Membership is free; donations and volunteerism are always appreciated.
