Bonnie Ray Simon-Evans, 66, of Brady, Texas, passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2014, in Brady.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Saturday, January 18, 2014, at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel in Brady, with Curtis Bankston officiating. Interment was at Little Saline Cemetery in London, Texas.

Bonnie was born on February 9, 1947, in London, Texas, to Luther Dee Simon and Zada Ray (Hight) Simon. She moved to Brady from London in 2011. Bonnie married Hal Evans on January 4, 2014. She was an Episcopalian.

Bonnie enjoyed hunting and fishing and liked animals. She was an excellent cook. Through the years Bonnie worked as several different jobs and liked to say she was a “Jack of all trades but master of none”. She was a fun-loving person with a great sense of humor.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Zada Simon.

Survivors include: husband, Hal Evans of Brady; two brothers; Claude Simon and L.D. Simon; five grandchildren; Dessaray Stiles; Megan Stiles; Hailey Storm Stiles; Lissa Stiles; and Candice Torrez; special cousin; Linnie Norvell; numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials are requested to the American Cancer Society.
