The Mason Lions club met Tuesday, February 4th, for its monthly business meeting. There were 35 members and two visitors in attendance. Among the visitors were two Mason High School seniors, Price Ruffin and Zac Davidson.

"Boss Lion" Fritz Landers was responsible for the program and Secretary/Treasurer Gene Gammill read the minutes and gave the financial report. "Boss Lion" Fritz then excused himself to leave for a doctor's appointment and turned the meeting over to Vice President, Ken Cordero.

V.P. Ken went over some of the items discussed at the directors' meeting. It was also stated the Lions Club made about $700 on the Pancake Supper and would give two $500 scholarships to two high school seniors.

Meeting adjourned.

The club’s next meeting will be held next Tuesday, February 11th, at noon at Willow Creek Cafe. The program chairman will be Melvin McCallum.

The Mason Lion’s Club promotes sight conservation in our community. Anyone who has used eyeglasses to donate may give them to a Lions Club member or put them in collection boxes at the local banks.
