Wednesday, February 12, 2014 • Posted February 14, 2014

This past Saturday, kids from Mason High School and Junior High performed at the Region Solo & Ensemble contest which was held at Howard Payne University in Brownwood. Four high school kids performed piano solos. Kendra Klaerner and Levi Hoffman each performed a class 2 piano solo and both received a 1st division. Luke Gillespie and Jackson Chapman each performed a class 1 piano solo (memorized) and both received a 1st division. These ratings qualified both of them for State Solo & Ensemble Contest in May. Faith Ingracia performed a twirling solo and received a 1st division which qualified her for the state contest as well. The Junior High was represented by Marina Ramon (8th grader) and Megan Canfield (6th grader). Megan performed a class 3 saxophone solo and received a 1st division. Marina performed a class 2 flute solo and received a 1st division. All of the students did a great job and represented Mason well!
